Something extra
Why it’s worth the trip
Chai brewed fresh daily
The chai is made each morning from whole spices (cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, clove, black pepper) and Assam tea, with no ready-made syrup.
Additive-free curry bread
The filling is an Indian curry made by an Indian chef without additives, seasoned with about ten spices including cumin, chili, turmeric and garam masala.
Vegetarian and vegan drinks
Chai and lassi are listed as vegetarian, while the homemade spice cola and BIRA91 are listed as vegan.
Rooted in Tokyo's Indian community
The project began through a collaboration with Jagmohan Chandrani, a long-time Indian curry restaurateur and tea importer in Nishi-Kasai, who serves as curry adviser.
