Siddique · Akihabara Kanda Sudacho

Indian / Pakistani · curry thali and tandoori cooking

東京都千代田区神田須田町1-7-15 浅賀ビル1・2階

A former Indian and Pakistani restaurant on Yasukuni-dori, remembered for curry thali and generous naan-and-rice sets. This branch had closed by July 2025; its food and diner accounts belong to its history.

The Curry Navi restaurant story

Curry, warm naan and a chapter of Akihabara dining

The branch on Yasukuni-dori

The former address was the first and second floors of the Asaga Building, 1-7-15 Kanda Sudacho. Historical listings describe 37 seats: 20 downstairs and 17 upstairs. It was a different location from the Siddique that once stood on Akihabara’s Chuo-dori.

A brand that began near Shinjuku Gyoen

Siddique’s official history names founder Mian Ramzan Siddique and traces the business to a first restaurant near Shinjuku Gyoen in 1997. The brand grew around Indian and Pakistani cooking, with curry and tandoori dishes as central parts of its identity.

The same official story describes almost 40 curries and 17 tandoori dishes across the brand, and a Tokyo Tower opening in 2025. Those figures describe the wider business, rather than the menu or opening date of this former Kanda Sudacho branch.

Why people chose the thali

A March 2023 Akibaru visit paired prawn and mutton curries in a two-curry thali. The writer contrasted a mild prawn curry with a more gently spicy mutton curry, and singled out the chewy naan. Refills depended on the set: the thali included naan and rice refills, while the simpler curry order did not.

Why this page is an archive

AKIBA PC Hotline! reported on 15 July 2025 that Akiba Bistro Blue Sky was preparing to open in the former Siddique premises, with renovation photographed on 5 July. That establishes that this Siddique branch had already closed. The exact final service date has not been established.

The dishes behind the name

What was good here?

Dishes documented in historical coverage and menus. Current availability and prices are not implied.

The wider Siddique brand describes its food as halal. The former branch’s historical menu included vegetarian choices, but this archive does not establish a current dietary certification or imply that every dish was vegan.

Historical accounts · includes an April 2016 visit

Siddique · Akihabara Kanda Sudacho

  • ICUK-EURO particularly liked the sweeter prawn curry and the value of sets with naan and rice refills.
  • meddle described the naan as thick and soft, while being less impressed by the curry.

meddle’s April 2016 visit found the curries oily and short on richness. This is an individual historical opinion, not a current consensus.

Refill rules varied by order. All menu details and impressions refer to the closed branch’s past.

The two individual accounts are linked in the story’s sources. Live Google reviews and a matching Hot Pepper review page were not verified for this former branch.
